In case you missed it, our shop was featured on the local news station, WPIX Channel 11 news during Juneteenth, June 19th, in honor of black owned businesses in East Orange, NJ. Wonder Curl was one of the shops that was interviewed during the filming.
We opened our Pop-Up shop during the holiday season and have been there ever since, serving the local community by offering a different type of experience when you're shopping in East Orange NJ. At the pop up, we offer 1-on-1 consults, hair demonstrations and soon, we'll be holding different types of workshops.
During the interview, owner, Scarlett Rocourt, explained the products and the significance of being a part of the East Orange Pop Up Shop. Raised in East Orange, having a physical location that is easily accessible to customers is a bonus. There isn't anything else like it when you're shopping in East Orange NJ.
Says Scarlett, "This location has been great because it allows curlies to see Wonder Curl and experience the products in a warm and inviting space. You get a level of customer service that you can't find anywhere else such as a 1-on-1 hair tutorial. We end up being friends!"
