1. Coconut Oil For Thick Curly Hair

As a useful and versatile oil you can add to your hair care routine, especially if you have curly hair. Naturally, the coconut oil contains healthy fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, and carbohydrates that will be absorbed deeply in your scalp; this will prevent your hair from losing moisture, becoming brittle and promote hair growth. But be careful, too much can be a bad thing. We love coconut oil as a pre-poo treatment and in our Get Slick Hair Smoothie.

2. Thick Curly Hair Loves Argon Oil

Argon Oil, known for its rich antioxidant quality; enriched with vitamin E and fatty acids, this oil is perfect for protecting frizzy, thick curly hair from losing moisture. Applying Argon oil to your curly tresses will add shine to your strands making it even more manageable. Argon oil will keep your hair soft and healthy without weighing your it down.

3. Shea Butter for Sealing in Moisture

You'll notice shea butter in a lot of formulations in hair creams for thick curly hair. And for a great reason. Shea butter is a by-product of the shea nut from West Africa. In thick curly hair, when used in formulations, it helps to seal in moisture so your hair can stay hydrated. This butter boasts Vitamins A and E along with essential fatty acids which makes it an excellent emollient by helping to prevent breakage, increasing shine and reducing frizz.

4. Castor Oil benefits Thick Curly Hair

We love castor oil because of its amazing benefits for natural hair and that’s why we use it in some of our products. Castor Oil is a pale yellow liquid which is extracted from castor seeds (Ricinus Communis). It is an anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant oil which has been used for centuries for its therapeutic and medicinal benefits. Most of castor oil’s benefits are derived from its high concentration of unsaturated fatty acids.

5. Avocado Butter

Avocados have recently been gaining popularity for their many benefits regarding your health, skin, and hair. Not only do they taste absolutely delicious, but they’re also rich in nutrients you’d need for healthy skin and hair. Avocado butter, which is derived from avocado oil, is softer than shea butter. All you need is a small amount to help soften your hair. Try it in our Detoxifying Clay Cleanser or Restoring Hair Treatment.

6. Olive Oil Maintains Thick Curly Hair

A well known oil for curly hair, olive oil is one of the heavier oils. It is known to help penetrate the hair to help strengthen the strands. You don't need a lot of this oil, as it can weigh your hair down, this is truly the best friend for anyone with thick curly hair.
